Narration

Narration ( উক্তি ) বক্তা যা বলে তাই উক্তি  বা Narration.

 Maruf Said to me “I did it last night” 

He said to me, “Will you return the book ? ”

একটি Direct Narration এর প্রধান দুইটি  অংশ যথা- ১. Reporting Verb ২. Reported Speech. 

১. Reporting verb: যে verb টি ব্যবহার করে বক্তা বক্তব‍্য প্রকাশ করে তাকে Reporting verb বলে।

 ২. Reported speech: Inverted comma এ মধ্যেজে বাক্যটি থাকে তাকে  Reported Speech বলে। →Note: Reporting verb এ আগে যে পদটি ব্যবহার  হয় তা Reporting verb এ Subject ও Reporting verb এর পড়ে  যদি কোন  পদ থাকে , তা্কে Reporting verb এ Object বলে।

1. To change the reporting verb according to the reported speech.

 2. Inverted commas are removed in the indirectspeech.

 3. To change the pronoun of reported speech.
